  Some pretty blatant stuff coming up in bookstudy

  so i was reading ahead in the bookstudy book "bearing thorough witness" about god's kingdom, and i came upon some shockingly direct damage control on behalf of the gb in the material for the upcoming weeks.. on page 104: what a privilege it is to be instructed and molded by our patient and kind heavenly father!

  the results are always good and always to our advantage.

  so let us never proudly push ahead with our own ideas or react negatively to organizational changes or to adjusted explanations of certain scriptures.

  Two years ago I heard a DC talk about how the FDS was on the watch in 1975 and even if nothing happened then at least they were alert while all other religions were in deep sleep.

  The WT is still getting flack on the lies the told about 1975 and are now trying to spin the story that they were right to be on the out look instead of admitting their screw up. I think a lot of ex Jdubs would have been more forgiving if the GB at the time would have just admitted to their mistake and apoligized.

  As the ecomony does a downward spiral, there will be a point where the bottom 99.5% of the people will say enough is enough and there will be a revolt. As long as the 99.5% were buying into the American dream that moving up the finacial later look viable, the top .5% were able easly control the money flow. We have been living on a finaciall bubble caused by easy credit but this is beigining to burst. It will be interesting to see how long it will take the average working person to revolt.

  as a person who has suffered from much resentment sense learning the truth about the truth (ttatt).

  i have needed to put tools into place in order to get over it.

  for me, it hasnt been easy.

  All the best in your journey minus the JW mind control. I have been away from the organization now for 20 years but because I still have family members inside the cult I will never really be away from it. For an organzation that claim they are based on love, they really don't understand what unconditional love is all about. I will always be considered by them as secound class. It does bother me a bit but I have moved on with my life. I have found true genuine friends that care about me as who I am. I am now enjoying my life, guilt free from this mind control cult.

  Are you going to Auxilliary Pioneer this October?

  the little demo at the ca showed a young fella meditating and by golly he reasoned that october had an extra weekend so that was reason enough for him to put in a a pioneer application.

  what a brilliant idea.. who else will be doing this?.

  i have the wt may 15 1994 scan with the birthdates & deaths of the 16 people featured, and it occured to me using wt logic,that you could extend the generation timespan this way.. #6 d.d.

  was born in 1892 and died in 1984. that was the earliest birth of this group.

  #4 j.e was born in 1912 and died in 1997. the age gap between these two is 20 years.

  The WT is already on record saying the 1914 generation will not pass away. As the Watchtower cover shows they are wrong on that prediction. Anyway I like your WT logic.

  Terrible Analogy at a Convention

  brother jackson (from the governing body) had this "neat" analogy at the very end of the convention.

  he said; "what if you were watching a football game on tv, and it was the trojans against the fighting irish, and it's been a good game.

  The dubs have being on the 1inch yard line for the last 150 years. A few weeks back I met my ex brother in law that I hadn't seen for a few years. He said to me, oh I know we have been saying this for years but this system can't last another year... I have known him for about 45 years now and the same tired story I have heard from him from day one.... You would think he would learn. I recall him saying that before 1975 that we would not finish the year out in this old system.

  I will be a little more tactful in my response but I do agree with most of the posters on here. Being raised a JW we have had our fill of the bible thumping, self righteous preachers. This is the last thing we want to listen to.

  New Light @ The 2011 District Convention

  " at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.

  my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?

  " represents, or some other fangled idea.
